FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS • A St. Clair County woman who worked at a daycare here was caught on surveillance camera abusing two toddlers she was supposed to be caring for, police said.
Video surveillance captured Joann R. Schofield, 51, on two different occasions this month picking up a sleeping cot holding a 2-year-old and dropping the toddler on the ground, police said. Both children were taken to the hospital. One had minor injuries. The other was not hurt.
