PASADENA >> Three children were injured — one critically — after a eucalyptus branch fell on them Tuesday at a day care center near the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
Around noon, about 15 students at the Linda Vista Children’s Center were outside in the schoolyard during the lunch break when a 20-plus-foot eucalyptus tree branch fell on three children, said Lisa Derderian, spokeswoman for the Pasadena Fire Department. After the branch struck a fence, it fell on and trapped a 2-year-old girl, causing major injuries.
