Day care worker charged in child’s death was not qualified to watch children

BALTIMORE — The day care worker charged with murder in the death of an 8-month-old girl was not legally qualified to be left alone in a room with infants. It’s just one of the new details learned following a hearing on whether that day care can reopen. Prosecutors said the 8-month-old was basically tortured the day she died.
