PITTSBURGH — Cameron Cain, 22, has been charged with kidnapping and interfering with child custody for taking a child from day care and refusing to turn the 2-year-old over to the child’s mother, until the mother gave him her Ford Fusion.
Pittsburgh police said Cain took the child from Brightside Academy on Smithfield Street in Pittsburgh, then threatened to shoot the child’s mother’s home and kill the child.
Investigators said Cain then tried to escape and gave a false name, before being taken into custody.
